Happy Two Month, Absol-ute C-ute!

EDIT: Oh, what the hell, I posted this at around 11pm, but I guess WordPress time makes it August 6th. This was meant to be a post for August 5th, because June 5th is the day I started this blog. Aw. :(

First things first, there is a new theme! Misa suggested that I get a theme, so I figured it was about time to get one, anyways. This theme is pretty similar to the old one in that it’s extremely simple. I hope you guys like it! It’s not that much different, but I like it so far. Enjoy the new sidebar stuff :P

Second things second, today is the two month anniversary of Absol-ute C-ute! It is also the two month anniversary of me being in wotachat because I started my blog the day I came into wotachat. I decided that I’d dedicate this post to wotachat and what has been going on in there the past two months!

I can’t really remember what happened the first time I came into wotachat, but I know it started when I emailed SB about some random thing. Eventually, he told me to check out wotachat, so I did. That day, broomhead told me to start a blog, so I ended up doing that. So, that was how I started my blog! At first, I had no idea what I was even going to do with a blog, so I just wrote about random news (hence this and this.) After awhile, I ended up doing some reviews of singles, also because I had no idea what to write. I got tired of making portions and ranking each part of a song, so I attempted to review a single without using that format. I’m a little bit more happy with that, but I feel that I still don’t really know what I’m going to do with this blog. But, that’s okay, because I’ve only been blogging for two months and I can write whatever I want if I ever figure it out.

Broomhead once said that I changed a lot since I came into wotachat. I guess I have changed, but only because I was shy before. Now that I’ve been there for a while, I realize that they’re all bat crazy and don’t care what I do, I think I’ve loosened up. Wotachat is pretty fun and something strange always happens there. It somehow became a running joke that I am the one who fetches lattes for pengie and that SecondBlossoming and CatchFiveBats are pedophiles (I’m sorry, SB, don’t kill me). There’s a lot of diversity among all of us, ranging from the youngest (Wendy) to the oldest (Ray). Many IW bloggers are regulars of this channel, and we seriously don’t bite. We’re normal people, and we really don’t mind if we get more chatters. Wotachat gets pretty insane at times, but it’s an endearing sort of insane. I think if you enjoy reading IW, you’ll probably enjoy wotachat.

If you want to check out wotachat for yourself, you can download a client for IRC such as XChat for Linux and Windows users or Colloquy for Mac users. There are tutorials on how to set those clients up on their respective sites. If you are unable to or don’t want to download a client, you can also go to Mibbit to use IRC online. Our server is irc.rizon.net and the channel is #wotachat. I know plenty of other bloggers have mentioned wotachat in their blogs, so you can really email any of us if you have issues with setting up IRC. If you’ve always respected a blogger from afar, this is your chance to talk to them! I know one of our newer chatters looked up to pengie and broomhead, and she was very excited to speak to them! We really don’t bite and we usually look forward to more chatters. All right, that’s enough talk about wotachat for one post, I think. I was attempting to name-drop everyone I knew into this post, but sadly, I’m sleepy and I can’t think of a way to force more names into this post. Here are some people I wanted to mention but couldn’t think of a way to!: maiZe is cool and has Miya remotes, amyrulez is…in college?, Misa has 19 moons, Kirarin☆Snow☃ does math pretty often, and there are loads of others! To wotachatters: If I didn’t mention you, I don’t hate you or anything. I’m looking at a list of people that are online, and if you weren’t online or I didn’t remember you, too bad. You can always just sign on wotachat and ask me why you weren’t mentioned!

I think I might write a followup post on the two month anniversary of this blog, but I just got home from work and I forced myself to post this now just so it’d be on the correct date. So, that’s all for now, and I think I speak for all wotachatters when I say this: Get your ass into wotachat!
