The Atsuura Maya Discography Adventure!

A couple of weeks ago, we were discussing Matsuura Aya in wotachat, and MaiZe and Kirarin☆Snow☃ (YESSS I PUT THE SYMBOLS) convinced me to download her discography. Ayaya is MaiZe’s favorite H!P member, so she was very enthusiastic about me listening to Ayaya. So far, there are no singles that I particularly dislike, but a lot of the songs stuck out to me as pretty good. I’m listing these songs in the order of where they were in my playlist, not based on which I like the most. I also apologize for not elaborating on my ideas more, but Ayaya has a lot of songs, and I want to get through all of the songs without having to write a lot for each single I like.

HAPPY TO GO! – Double Rainbow
The beginning lines of this song are very catchy and they always put me in a happier mood. This song definitely caught my attention when I was first going through her discography. It says a lot about a song if I don’t get the urge to skip to the middle of the song just to hurry it up. The rest of the song is sweet and the whole package makes this song one of my favorites.

Hikkosenai Kimochi – Double Rainbow
This song has such a unique sound! I don’t really know how to describe it, but I can’t believe I hadn’t noticed this song earlier. It’s a beautiful song.

Onna Day by Day – Double Rainbow
This song is just plain catchy.

Egao – Egao
Egao is a sad song, and she just sounds so sweet and emotional when she sings here.

Hajimete Kuchibiru wo Kasaneta Yoru – First Kiss
This is one of the few Ayaya songs I knew before I downloaded her discography. I first heard it when Risako sang it on Hello Pro Hour, and I thought it was a beautiful song.

GOOD BYE Natsuo – GOOD BYE Natsuo
It’s so energetic and hyper compared to her other songs that I couldn’t help but notice it.

Hatsukoi – Hyacinth
I really like the instrumental.

Ki ga Tsukeba Anata – Ki ga Tsukeba Anata
I love the instrumental, once again. The guitar sounds nice, and this song is calming yet happy.

Kiseki no Kaori Dance – Kiseki no Kaori Dance
It’s a catchy, happy song. I think I’m prone to liking Ayaya’s energetic songs just because they’re a change of pace from her ballads.

LOVE Namida Iro – LOVE Namida Iro
Who DOESN’T love this song? It’s one of the songs I listen to the most from Ayaya.

♡Momoiro Kataomoi♡ – ♡Momoiro Kataomoi♡
Same reasoning as LOVE Namida Iro, this song is extremely cute and I also loved the Airi-Sayu-Risako performance of this.

dearest. – Naked Songs
I was listening to her songs and not really paying attention, but this song actually made me replay it from the beginning because I wasn’t listening closely.

Navi ga Kowareta Oujisama (LOVE CHANCE) – T・W・O
All I need to say is LOVE CHANCE! LOVE CHANCE!

Watarasebashi – Watarasebashi
This song might be my favorite Ayaya song. When I first downloaded the discography, I was stuck on this song and listened to it so many times. I’m having a hard time even typing as I listen to the song because I want to listen to it and I can’t give full attention to this song and type at the same time. It’s an amazing song, I simply love it.

Yeah! Meccha Holiday – Yeah! Meccha Holiday
I first listened to this song when MaiMai sang it for Hello Pro Hour, so it caught my attention this time around, of course.

Zutto Suki de Ii Desu Ka – Zutto Suki de Ii Desu Ka
MaiZe mentioned this song to me because it was her favorite song. I like it, as well, but probably not to the extent that MaiZe likes it (not a bad thing! She likes it a lot!). The song is a song that I would probably hum or sing because of its nice lyrics and melody.

So, that’s all! I definitely like Mayaya from what I hear so far, and these are some songs that I liked immediately. Keep in mind that this is based mostly on one or two listens, so I might change my mind in the future and like a song I hadn’t immediately liked. Or I might go the other way and somehow end up hating a song on here, but that’s unlikely because Matsuura Aya really is a great singer!
